Adult Beginner Acrylic Painting Classes at Bay Bridge Art, Every Friday at 12! Join us for a fun and relaxing experience where you start painting the very first day. We get you started quickly and help you refine your work as you go. You can choose to paint one of our existing designs, paint an original or work on abstract technique. Our classes are perfect for those who have always wanted to try painting but didn't know where to start. No prior experience is necessary - just bring your creativity and we'll provide the rest. Class Description:
Using Miguel’s vast body of previous work in procreate as examples, you will develop personal fluency in the use of all the tools available in the Procreate app. This fluency will enable a level of confidence in your own abilities that will continue with you throughout your personal creative journey. The possibilities of your creative expression upon completing this class series will be near infinite so long as you are fully present and genuinely give your full attention and intention into your work.

Part 1: Symmetry Tool
In today’s class, you will familiarize yourself with the basic tools available to you in Procreate through exploration of the symmetry tool. The projects made today are free flowing drawings that are a joy to create! This simple exercise has the potential to serve you for your entire creative journey.

Part 2: Selection Tool
In today’s class, you will use the selection tool nearly exclusively in an attempt for it to become second nature for you. The selection tool is one of the most powerful tools available in any digital art program.

Part 3: Pencil Techniques
In today’s class, you will develop familiarity with the available tools, brushes, and techniques in order to create beautiful pencil like drawings with Miguel’s guidance.

Part 4: Large Layer Stacks
In today’s class, you will learn all the available tools in the layers section of the app and create large stacks of overlapping layers. The availability to have a dozen or more layers in one image is one of the single most attractive aspects of digital art over traditional physical media. This will be a class you certainly won’t want to miss.

Part 5: Painterly Approach
In today’s class, you will learn advanced techniques using a combination of your previously acquired knowledge base with the available painterly brushes to create your first digital “painting”.

Part 6: Recreate Full Artwork
In today’s class, you will choose from a selection of digital works from Miguel’s own personal portfolio to recreate with his direct guidance using the skills you have developed so far.

Part 7: Create Personal Project
In today’s class, you will bring in any pertinent references to create your most ambitious personal digital project to date. Miguel will be fully available at every step of the way (as the class size permits) to assist you in your personal project.

Part ∞: Portfolio Development
In these sessions, you will be developing your own personal portfolio in the comforting and supportive environment of a collective creative space with personal guidance and support from Miguel at your call.
